HISTORY

The Mister English school was founded in 1989, after a long period of preparation by Anna Naval and Xavier Mañanet.

The first course took place in Balmes Street in Lleida with 5 teachers. The school also began teaching English in the state schools of Torres de Segre and Tamarit de Llitera. 

After rapid growth, the school expanded its staff and curriculum to provide classroom instruction to over 20 different state and private schools, as well as a number of companies. 

To accommodate its growth, the school was relocated in 1993 to a larger facility in Camp de Mart Street. 

High student enrolments in 2005 made it necessary to enlarge the school, resulting in two additional classrooms.

Five years later, the demand for even more classes led to another expansion and six more classrooms were added. 

In 2011 an opportunity to add to our existing space resulted in new offices and two classrooms on the ground floor of the school.

In 2015, four more classrooms were added on the ground floor.

In 2018, we openned a new enclousure in front of the academy and in 2019 we have planned to open a new place in the same street, reaching the total of 28 classrooms.

In the same year, we became sponsors of the Club Banyetes, participating in their events.

All our classrooms are equipped with the last tehcnology for educattion.

From the beginning, our aim has been to give each student maximum attention by keeping the classes small.

The school and teachers give high importance to passing official exams.

Since the 2009-10 course, there has been a ceremony to present the official Cambridge exam certificates to our students.

In the course of 2013-14 we are celebrated our 25th aniversary.

In July of 2017 we were selected to be an Examinator Centre of the Oxford Test of English.
